How to Find a Link Building Supplier You Can Actually Trust

May 10, 2025

Almost every agency has a story about a link vendor who went quiet, sent junk sites, or disappeared after payment. It's common enough that "trustworthy" is the single most important thing to check before you send anyone a client brief, more important than price.

Ask to See the Vetting Process

Anyone can show you a spreadsheet of "DR 50+ sites." What matters is whether those sites were actually checked for real organic traffic and topical relevance, or just pulled from a public list. If a vendor can't explain how a site gets approved, assume it wasn't checked at all.

Ask What Happens When a Link Disappears

Links get taken down sometimes. That's not the red flag. The red flag is a vendor with no answer for what happens next. A real guarantee means a free replacement or a refund, not a shrug.

Ask for a Small Order First

Before handing over a full campaign, order a handful of links and watch what actually happens: is the site relevant, does the content read naturally, is it live when they say it'll be live. A supplier confident in their process won't mind starting small.

Watch How They Handle Bulk

A lot of vendors are fine at 3 links a month and fall apart at 30. Ask specifically how larger orders are handled. If there's no real answer about batching or quality control at volume, that's where things will break later, usually right when a client is watching closest.
